Wednesday Wishlist

I really like the colors in this collection, and I NEED to have that navy, green, and blue striped paper.  Love it!

Amy convinced me that I want to give this ink a try!

...and the whole Lil' Inker DT convinced me that I want to give this a try!!

Lil' Inker Designs Darling Diamonds Stamp Set
While we're there, I want this too- solely because of Debby's card :)

I'm so glad that neon is "in."  I've always been a fan, even when it wasn't cool!  The cord doesn't seem to be super bright in-your-face neon, but I still like it :)

Maya Road Stamps:
I saw these stamps the other day when I was at my LSS with Jessica and Jennifer, and was this close (my fingers are being held close together when I say that, promise!) to buying them.

What's on your wishlist this week?

CSS Spread the Love Campaign

Today Clear and Simple Stamps is launching the "Spread the Love" Campaign.  You can find out more about it below:

There are 6 color schemes to work with, which you can find on the CSS blog.  Here's the one I chose to work with:

...and here's my project- not a card, but rather something that you could hang up on the wall!

Now you might be wondering...who's my blog crush?  It's Katie Rodgers, from Paperfashion.  She's a local Boston artist, who works in my favorite medium (other than paper, of course)- watercolor!  She's not afraid to add glitter and sequins to her paintings, which I love.   My favorite is probably this one.

I used my CSS stamps to get started, by stamping a jar and flowers in a very light ink:

can you even see it?

I then watercolored the image using the stamped image as a guide.

To accent the painting, I outlined it with a glue pen and threw on some gold glitter.

There will be some team members posting today, and some throughout the week.  I hope you play along for your chance to win!

Wednesday Wishlist

I'm back this week with another Wednesday Wishlist!!

I don't own a letterpress, but I'm betting this is some luxuriously thick paper.  The description says it's good with embossing folders, so I'd want to give it a try!

Flair
Flair is in. Flair is trendy!  I'm so excited to be getting to play with some of Joscelyn's flair soon!! :)  I'm also swooning over these two flair-inspired sets from Technique Tuesday:

Wood Veneer
You can pretty much guarantee that wood veneer is ALWAYS on my wishlist.  I'm currently into these from Studio Calico:

I'm so proud of my friend Laurie!  She has recently revealed a project she's been working on for a while- a die that allows you to hang your homemade card on the outside of a gift bag. Clever, eh?

CSS - Oh, Oscar!

---For my Runway Inspired Challenge post, scroll down---

Good morning!  Today a few of the girls from Clear and Simple Stamps are posting projects inspired by the Oscars!

I was inspired by Les Miserables. I adore the costume design, the colors, and the look of the movie. I was particularly drawn to this image:

I like the angle created between them and the stone-colored background.

I also enjoyed this clip about the costume design, in case you are interested:
