Party Hoppin'!

For my Clear and Simple Stamps post today, I created a sweet and simple little party ensemble.

It consists of a place card, a favor box, and a thank you card that you can send to your guests after your party.  I'm STILL crushing on glitter paper, so of course it makes an appearance :)

(I colored some of the banner with a silver Wink of Stella marker to add some shine to my die cut!)

For the purple accents, I just swiped a Copic marker back and forth along the cardstock.  I think it looks pretty cool, and I want to experiment with other colors...I think a gradient would look awesome!

I'm just in love with the Party Favor 14 die from CSS's most recent collection- I wish I had people to give all of these to!  I might just need to make some favors for an upcoming Pumpkin Beer tasting party Dave and I are throwing :) hehe.

Thanks for stopping by, and don't forget to hop along to...

You Rock

Good evening,

Amidst my costume preparations for New York Comic Con (yes, of course I'm cosplaying again!), I had some time to put together a card inspired by miss Laura Bassen!  I was a guest on the OCC's Insider class, and Laura made an awesome card with feathers and some negative die cutting- I wanted to get in on the action! :)

This first picture is kind of confusing to look at (my lighting was on the right-hand side of the card, completely blowing out and overexposing the colors on the inside of the card)- you can get a better look on the two photos following it....

I love this...I think it looks so cute!  Thanks for visiting!

a quickie

Hey folks,

I just got back from crafting at Jingle's, and wanted to quickly post this before the deadline.  Since I have limited time, you are only getting one pic- sorry! (no time to take a better one) It's for PTI September blog hop challenge- to incorporate a wreath.

Since I don't own any Papertrey wreath products, I used the Headline Alphabet set to stamp my sentiment (The wreath die is from Simon Says Stamp):

Sorry for the quickie post, and thanks for visiting!

CSS Release in Review

Good morning!

I'm so excited to share my card and favor box today...although I'm bummed I could not get a good picture.  Sometimes I take card pics and I pat myself on the back for how professional they look, but I often get a few duds like these.  Hopefully you can see past the poor color balance and graininess, and appreciate my projects for what they are! :)

I used some dies from Clear and Simple Stamps (Party Favor 14 and Lowercase), along with some enamel dots and awesome paper.  Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you go visit Steph and CSS!

Pin to Paper

Today, myself and the other Clear and Simple Stamps gals are posting projects we made that were inspired by something we found on Pinterest!

As much as I love browsing Pinterest, I can't stand when people don't properly source the images they find.  So, here you'll find the pin, and HERE is the link to the baker's website- you should browse around, because there are other inspiring treats over there too! :)

My card was a literal interpretation- although I simplified the flowers by only using one stamp- partially to keep the card from getting too busy or requiring masking, but also because I really only had one CSS stamp the correct size (note: CSS has some amazing floral images that would also work!  I love card designs like this where you can adjust it based on supplies you have on hand).

The real star of the show, however, is the banner!  Check it out:

(and yes, I'm at it again with the glitter paper- not just so I can submit it to the Moxie Fab challenge, but because I'm obsessed with it! hehe)

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Please go visit my friends too :)
