I adore this gown!  The gold looks like flakes of gold leaf, and if you look carefully there are these cool rows of gold studs which trim the bodice and down the seams in the skirt.  So cool!

My original vision for this card had a black background, but after much hemming and hawing I went ahead with this:

Both stamps are from Altenew.  To incorporate gold, I embossed and then watercolored the main image, and I also applied embossing powder to these little adhesive circle things to match.

Once again, some of the gals are taking a break.  But here are the ladies who are posting this morning:

Happy Runway Inspired Tuesday!   This week, some of the girls used flair and stamps, generously donated by our sponsor, Bossy Joscie!  Here's the inspiration:

source: style.com

I was SO tempted to rock a square stamp and stamp all of those lovely colors.  But sadly, I was running short on time.  When I do those stampy backgrounds they can sometimes take up to 45 minutes to do, because of the time it takes to line everything up and to clean the stamp in between.

To cut corners, I used a hexagon die (love shortcuts!).  The sentiment is Bossy Joscie's Thank You So Very Much Stamp 2.  I simply stamped it in the bottom corner...I was going for understated minimalism, a la Cristina K.   I love how all of her cards look like they came from a stationery boutique!

Please visit the other gals to see what they made, and consider playing along!
