Our challenge this month is to make a card with an envelope to match. I have to confess I had a realllly tough time photographing this. I think it's because it had subtle detail that I didn't want to get lost in the pic.
I used my new impression plate for the first time, and chose to ink it up before rolling it through for a letterpress effect. I love the soft, delicate look! I used the same technique for the envelope, using the other side of the plate. (reminds me of Aimes...she just posted about using the other, less-often-used side of an impression plate)
Here's a close up of the inked impression:

The lovely DT has some great inspiration for you too!:
Beautiful set Jennifer, I think I prefer that side to the IP :)
ReplyDeleteLove the panel on the envelope too :)

Gorgeous Jennifer! Love that technique!
ReplyDeleteThis gorgeous and so elegant Jennifer.
ReplyDeleteWOW, Jennifer this is gorgeous! Will have to CASE this one day...really really gorgeous! :)
ReplyDeleteI've got that plate and isn't it just fabulous? And yes, it's hard to photograph, but I know that it looks great up close. You've inspired me to post a card that I made a couple of weeks ago with the same technique and plate.... or maybe I'll just go make a new one, with an envelope to match!
ReplyDeleteYour card it is simple but elegant.
ReplyDeleteIt is perfect.
Loved it
This is just exquisite, Jen! What a lovely lacy pattern and I love the way you so subtly inked it!
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame this was tough to photograph, Jennifer. It looks like an absolutely exquisite card. I love that design.
ReplyDeleteHey, saw your "diamond" card in PC Nov/Dec issue, which arrived in my mailbox yesterday. GREAT card! Echoes of Pink Floyd started running through my head. :)
