Monday Mood Board

This weekend I had some time to play along with Dawn's Monday Mood Board.  Check out the inspiration:

I knew I wanted to incorporate the black and gold, with a touch of elegance.  Here's what I came up with...

I cut the feathers from some cheapy scrapbooking paper I picked up from Michael's (I reinforced the feather that is popped up with some cardstock), and the gold is gold leaf. Yea, I use the good stuff...very high class :)

The sentiment is from the Mother's Day set from WPlus9- but it is so perfect for lots of occasions! You could give it to a father, significant other, mother, etc.

Afternoon Tea

Today Clear and Simple Stamps is highlighting the Morning Brew stamps and dies from Collection 7.  You won't believe it, but I actually did some Copic coloring on this card!! Crazy, right?!

The teacups are embossed in white- I love the soft look!

I also stamped the envelope with the same teacup outline, but the pink is so light the camera didn't really pick it up! It's more obvious in real life.

CSS Basics

Good morning!  Continuing the instant replay of Clear and Simple Stamps' Collection 7, today I am showcasing a project using some of the "Basics."

As I was stamping the ovals across the bottom of the card, I kept thinking of fingernails. I don't think they necessarily look like fingernails, but they must be close enough for me to think of it!
