Floral card and a sewing project

Hey there folks.  Today I have a card for SP and Company, using one of my favorite sentiment sets- Bold Sentiments.

I have a HUGE stash of patterned paper that I rarely use, so I challenged myself to start using it.  I made this card with the Lily Pad Cards and CAS-ual Fridays challenges in mind :)

And before I go, I wanted to share a sewing project I did.  A friend of mine just had a baby girl, and I wanted to make her something.  I had considered a plush duck, or elephant, or something else appropriate for a baby...... then I stumbled upon a VERY cute Chewbacca pattern.  PERFECT! My friend and her husband are huge Star Wars geeks (who isn't?), and she just loved the gift. It's a bit bigger than her infant daughter, but she'll grow into it :)

(yes, those are our action figures in the background)

And love that patterned paper. Sometimes I'm intimidated by such large patterns but you used it beautifully. :)
