OCC Masculine

Wow...between the current YCU challenge, the YCU blog hop, and now this challenge at OCC, there sure are a lot of masculine cards being made over here!

Once again, the hostess is the fabulous Tui, and not only does she want to see masculine cards, but she wants you to challenge yourself by using colors that are not typically thought of as manly.

I went with a dark red, purple, and white. I "manned" things up by stamping some stripes into a plaid background, and for some reason, the old-timey bicycle looks liked a guy thing...
(and I'm submitting this to the always fun and amazing CAS-ual Fridays Challenge! This week, the theme is "Over the Edge")
I hope you join us this week at Our Creative Corner! And don't forget- you can link up for both OCC and YCU!

Fun... I've got a Practicing Creativity set with one of these penny farthing bicycles and it hasn't seen the light of day in months...

Such a cool card Jen. It has such a great classic feel and I agree the old time bicycle has a masculine feel to it. I like the way you did it in white.

Hope you are having a great weekend.

Hugs,
Linda

Jen, I love the card! I love how you added the plaid and the font of the sentiment. And, I have to agree, the bicycle does look like a masculine object.
Just wanted to drop a line that your paper crafting is really looking great! :)
Have a great week! hugs, sharon

Jen, the plaid, the rich purples and that super sweet vintage image wrap this "guy card" up beautiffuly. I especially like the typeface of the sentiment. It is clean, classic and all-around perfect. Love it! Hope you enjoyed your weekend. Hugs! :)
