Today they are featuring Birch Trees, Reverse Birch Trees, Alpha Clear, Symbols (dies), and Imprints 5 (links can be found at the end of this post).
I LOVE the birch tree images- I wanted to feature the difference between Birch and Reverse Birch so you can see which you prefer (or, if you are like me, you need them both!).
For this first card, I stamped the birch background and added a sentiment strip, a feather, and a butterfly. I made the feather by stamping it onto white cardstock with pink ink, cutting it out, and flipping it over. I love how it casts a pinkish shadow on the cardstock layer below it.
To make the butterfly I wrapped a pink piece of quilling paper around a die cut and glued it on. Here's a tip- only use enough glue to get it to adhere- you don't want glue puddling up around the quilling paper!!
Using the Reverse Birch, I took a more masculine approach.
Lastly, here is my card using the new alphabet set:
Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you visit the other girls who are posting today!

Such cool projects! Love how you did that butterfly quilling like only you could do!
ReplyDeleteWow! I love them all, but the first card is inspired! I would never have thought of putting the colour UNDER the feather, but the effect is fantastic! And that little butterfly is so cute!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving that birch background, great cards!
ReplyDeleteNew to your blog. LOVE your style of cards! Everything is absoluately perfect.
ReplyDeleteOh what fun the butterfly is and the hint of pink... nice trick!
ReplyDeleteSuch fantastic inspiration! Your 'quilled' butterfly is AWEsome!
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love! The ethereal hint of pink in the first card is fabulous :)
ReplyDeleteFabulous projects! I adore the soft serenity of the first - I think it's the pink ink and quilling treatment that gives it that magical touch! :)
