OCC Stamp Happy

Good morning! Today, one of the newest DT gals, Holly Kean, is hosting at Our Creative Corner! I love Holly's style- simple with lots of impact.

The challenge this week is to stamp on patterned paper...and sentiments don't count! I may have taken an easy way out, but I chose to stamp on this cool lined paper. I could have been bolder and stamped on a more graphic pattern, but I was a bit scared!

(sentiment is from Bold Sentiments II set-holiday sentiments!)

This was one of those cards that I envisioned one way, and it evolved into something else entirely! I picked out the background paper and the stamp, and wanted a fun and bright card with funky colors. Which led me to the orange embossing powder. Now, once I embossed the image, I considered adding rhinestones, some bright yellow, and matting the whole thing on kraft cardstock. But the orange kept saying "Halloween."

To make the image more Halloween-y, I intentionally did a sloppy job outlining the image with a fine pen, and drew on spider webs and a small spider. I added a chain from my jewelry making supplies, and then it was mounted on a black square card.

This card is also for the Moxie Fab World's square challenge!
