OCC Wonderful Windows

Good morning! I'm here with a new card for this week's challenge at Our Creative Corner! Holly, our wonderful hostess, wants to see window cards!

Using the color scheme from ColourQ (go to their blog to check it out!), I made an almost one-layer card with a scalloped window cutout. Sorry that I used these flowers again...I only own one set of floral stamps (these beauties are from WPlus9). I got some gift cards for my birthday, so I'll definitely be buying more floral outline stamps!

I started by stamping the outline in black on the outside of the card, then was hoping to match up the image on the inside. I was all ready to stamp the inner image, when I noticed that I had smudged black ink on the cardstock. D'oh! I ended up having to stamp on a separate piece of cardstock to adhere to the inside of the card, which is why I mentioned earlier that it is an almost one-layer card. I also colored the flowers so that you can see the purples and greens through the window. I finished by cutting a small slit in the fold to thread the ribbon through.
I hope you make a window card this week, and link it up at Our Creative Corner!

  12. Jennifer, I love your take on the 'window' :) You did a great job keeping your card one layer and I really like how the flower inside the card is colored! How pretty!
I always love your cards, and I enjoy visiting your blog. Sorry for not posting more often. Blogger was being a pain, and not letting me post comments, saying, 'I didn't have access to this blog'.
    Great card!
