I really liked Laura's sketch this week at 2S4Y. It was new for me to have the crease at the top of a portrait-oriented card.

Lacey Flower
Caardvarks is currently having a challenge to use lace on a card. I got the layout idea from the Paper Crafts Connection Blog. It took some working and reworking to get the flower right (I was working with lace ribbon), but I like how it turned out.
Mojo Monday 131
For this week's Mojo Monday challenge, I used the following sketch to make a simple card. I chose not to include the oval tag in the center, since I didn't want to cover the pretty paper.

A few new cards...
I finally gave into the trend I've been noticing in blogs/magazines, and made these 2 cards:
I've also been totally into birthday cards (you can never have enough!) so I made this card- I did the ruffles by basting the edge of some wide satin ribbon, gathering it, then sewed it on.
I will be submitting this one to the Ruffle Your Stuff contest!

ColourQ Challenge #24
This card is for ColourQ 24:
I'm upset that my raspberry color photographed a little dark...its more purpley than blue in real life- I promise!

CPS # 158- Sympathy Card
I've never made a sympathy card until now. Hopefully it won't be needed! I used a sketch from CPS:
The floral paper and sentiment looked too "cheery" at first, so I added a striped vellum on top to mute it.

2 more cards
I just wanted to post 2 more cards I recently made:
I had my friend Leah over for crafting, and this card took waaaaaay longer than I expected! Partially because we were chatting, but also because I'm a perfectionist- although I really love how it turned out.
This second card was one I was able to quickly pull together- not as detailed, but I enjoy the simplicity.
By the way...I think my apartment balcony is my new favorite place to photograph. This morning at 7am I took these pictures before I left for work- the sun wasn't out, and it was super cloudy and hazy. The coloring came out a little weird, but I'll be sure to give my outdoor spot another chance on a nicer day!

compose a card no. 6
This week's challenge used the formula seen below:
I struggled with this one, and am not quite thrilled with my results, but here is what I came up with:
On a side note, I also made another card with a new favorite paper of mine, the pink plaid. I never really knew I liked pink until now!

March DT Challenge
For the PTI March DT Challenge, I attempted to use this color scheme:
I chose my papers, and thought they matched, until I was finished and realized my colors were waaaaay darker/more saturated that than the ones in the challenge.

2S4Y Kazan's Sketch 47
Using the sketch from 2S4Y this week, I made a delightfully springy card!
I just got the birds stamp and plaid paper yesterday, and was excited to use them. The birds were stamped then I sprinkled on some clear embossing powder and heat set it.

Mojo Monday 128
So for today's card, I followed the sketch from Mojo Monday
Here's my take on the challenge:
I die-cut the flower, and continued to use some scraps of my new favorite paper- I love the colorful paisley!
