Runway Inspired Baby Shower!

Welcome to the very first Runway Inspired Challenge Baby Shower!

As you know, two of our amazing Design Team members had babies this month!  We couldn't be happier for them.   In their honor, we decided to throw them a baby shower...

On July 3rd, Sarah gave birth to the beautiful Evelyn, and just last Tuesday Cristina welcomed a new baby boy!

Now, this isn't going to be just any old shower...this will be the most fashionable baby shower you've ever been to.  The DT was inspired by 2 adorable looks from Dolce and Gabbana's childrenswear line, D&G Junior.

Here's the card I made for Sarah, inspired by that sweet little girl's outfit:

..and here's my card for Cristina:
(almost all product used on my cards is from CSS.  If I have time after class I'll link it all up!)

Please check out the cards from the DT:
(Angeline is away from home and therefore cannot participate, but she sends her best wishes!)

We'd love it if you could come to our baby shower too!  All you have to do is make a NEW BABY card inspired by one of the D&G Junior photos above, post it to your blog, and link it here or at the Runway Inspired Challenge.  You can find the details over there!

The other gals and I chipped in so you have a chance to win prizes too....there will be 2 $15 gift cards given away to random participants.  I hope you will join us!

  7. You did such a great job with the inspiration photos, Jen! I love that the girl card is so feminine without being oppressively pink. And the bold green with black and white on the boy card makes me smile. Thank you so much for doing this!

  8. You guys are the BEST! I almost had a panic attack when I saw you were doing a RIC post, though. I thought I had missed a deadline! Ha! Thank you so, so much. This sounds cheesy, but I'm really moved.

  10. I see a woodgrain impression plate!!! And boy do you know how to use it :) I love the layout of both cards! The sentiment on the first one is so sweet :) I really like the cool cork looking banners behind the butterfly.
