Above is the inspiration for this week's OTWC challenge- and I was certainly inspired! I saw the carved tree trunk, and instantly knew that was the direction I wanted to go with my card. Tough to see, but I stamped a woodgrain onto the tree, then I "carved" the sentiment with my xacto knife (no need to be perfect-it adds to the effect). BTW, I could not stop singing that song from the fake band "2gether." Do you remember them? Check the title of this blog post for a hint.
So anyway, I finished the card by adhering the tree with foam tape, to really give the carving dimension.
This card will also be submitted to the Moxie Fab World challenge, Let's Do Clean and Graphic. I loved making cards recently for all of their Card Styles. In the end, I confirmed that my favorite style is definitely clean and graphic!
