Oh wow! A post?

Yep, an honest to goodness, legitimate post.  Not a Runway Inspired Challenge post, not a post telling you to go to the Altenew blog to see my cards, but an ACTUAL post!!!!  I'm excited, are you!?

In the past months, I've relatively fallen off the face of the crafty planet, but I am just itching to work my way back in.  Let's hope that when school lets out, I'll start posting more cards and videos!

A friend of mine at work is pregnant, and I made this card for her:

(side note: don't you just love seeing the mess left behind on my craft table after a card is made? hehe)

The plaid background is some cute patterned paper from Market Street, by My Mind's Eye...I am in love with those papers! For the cute giraffe die cut and baby-themed stamps, I busted out some faves from Clear and Simple Stamps.  Aaaaaaaaand there you have it!

Thanks so much for stopping by! :)

When I look at that little bear (?) on her sweater, I instantly think of the Ori Kami stamp set from Altenew!  I was also drawn to the pink in her skirt, and the angled lines on the floor.  Here's what I came up with:

I hope you play along, and make sure to visit the FABULOUS DT!! :)

Sketchy Cities America

Just wanted to share some sneak peeks of the cards I'm posting today over on the Altenew blog!  We are featuring the Sketchy Cities America stamp set!

Watercolor Bicycle!

Hey there!  Today I have something a bit different for you.  You may already know (and hopefully you are already enrolled!) that I am teaching a class with Jennifer and Kristina over at Online Card Classes.  It's called Watercolor for Card Makers, and we have been having such a fun time over there for the past week and a half!

If you are interested in taking the class, you can get more info on it here.

Well anyway....one of my videos didn't quite fit into the class schedule (because the class is seriously bursting at the seams with content!), so I thought I would post it here as a little bonus for my trusty blog readers and YouTube followers :)

You can view it here, or in HD over on YouTube.  Enjoy!!

Ori Kami

Hey dudes (and dude-ettes)....there's a great post featuring the Ori Kami set over on the Altenew blog!!  Check it out! :)

Woohoo!  Runway day!  Check out the latest inspiration for the Runway Inspired Challenge:

Ooohh...love that shade of green!  I think it looks quite fresh paired with black - a modern look especially with the lace panel, black lines, and cutouts!

I took 2 pics of my card, because I just couldn't figure out which one I liked better :)

Hmmm.  I think I prefer the contrast of the second pic.  Well anyway, I hope you visit the rest of the DT. We are saying goodbye this week to Virginia, Pamela, and Joni (I'll miss you girls!), and hello to Lindsay, Karolyn, and Gayatri!! Yay!

Painted Flowers

Sorry my last few blog posts have only been sneak peeks for other sites...I've been enjoying some of the nice weather we have been having, sewing a skirt, cleaning the apartment, and working on things for my upcoming Spring Concert!   There hasn't been as much time for cards on my own blog, but I promise they will be coming soon.  Plus videos too! :)

Please check out the Altenew blog for our feature on Painted Flowers!

Simple Shapes

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know that today I am blogging over at Altenew. We are featuring the Simple Shapes set!  Here are a few peeks of my cards...

Later, gators...and happy Friday!  There's an epic 5th Grade vs. Teachers volleyball game today at work- wish me luck! :)
