A card, my sweet husband, and a drinking game

This is my second post today....you can scroll down to find the first :)

As my post title suggests, I have three things to share with you today.

Number One:  A Card

A second entry to this week's CAS-ual Fridays challenge.  If anyone has tips on how to get dry embossing to show up properly in a photograph, let me know.  I can never make it look right!

Number Two:  My sweet husband
My husband made me a birthday card this year.  An AWESOME birthday card!  Other than the circular card base (which he used my circle cutter for), everything is cut by hand.  I'm sure Aimes will know who this little guy is, along with any parents of children who love videogames, or anyone in my generation who grew up with him....Kirby!!

Number Three:  A drinking game
A drinking game?  On a papercrafting blog?  Dave found a funny idea online (not sure of the source) to tape a mustache on the TV and watch a movie.  Any time a face lines up with the 'stache, you take a drink!

We were armed with the movie Face/Off (lol), some beers, and a mustache I stamped using a set from SP and Co.  Below are our favorite moments:

Cloud WPlus9

Good morning! Thanks to everyone who left sweet birthday messages for me here and on my facebook page....they made my day for sure!!

Today I am playing along with the Cloud WPlus9 blog hop challenge.  Here's the inspiration:

I love the hanging bird cages, so I incorporated those into my card, along with a sentiment from WPlus9's Hope Seed Co. set.

I had some issues photographing this card, so I took 2- in the second you can see better detail:

I did some subtle dry embossing with my score board, so this card is also being entered into this week's CAS-ual Fridays challenge.


I can't wait to see what the other participants have come up with!

iPhone cases

It was really fun to design my cases with CSS stamps- I tried to make them look like patterned paper.

Sorry I don't have an actual iPhone case to show it in action, but I'm sure you get the idea :)

Everyday Eclectic by Echo Park

The amazing Allison invited me to create some projects using the Everyday Eclectic collection she recently designed for Echo Park!  It is an awesome collection to work with  :)

I have one card up on the Echo Park blog today (you'll have to click over to see it!) and here are some other things I made....

Good morning!  I'm so excited to share the newest Runway Inspired Challenge...this month, we are focusing on menswear!

I love the graphic color blocking in his shirt, so I chose to replicate it in a softer color palette:

I cut out the different colors and arranged them to fit perfectly on the card front.  It looked kinda blah until I added the black strips.

I love how it makes the design pop, in a Frank Lloyd Wright kind of way.
