OCC

Hello again! I recently found a new (to me) challenge blog, Our Creative Corner. I'm not quite sure how I stumbled upon it, but decided to participate in this week's challenge! I love when a challenge is specific, and this certainly was...the task is to make a thank you card using blue and cream, as well as vellum and metal.

I chose to use a dark navy to go with cream and white. I really like the stark contrast of those colors together. The vellum flower was made by cutting out 4-petaled flowers (very simple shape), and layering them in different sizes. I used the tutorial here as a jumping off point, and I'm jealous I don't have the punches she has! It would have made this a lot easier. I used a silver eyelet for the center of the flower and adhered it to a navy circle. Thanks for checking it out, and enjoy the rest of your day!

Fabulous job on this challenge, Jennifer. Your card is clean and simple while being bold and powerful. The Night of Navy was a great choice of blues and I think your vellum flower is brilliant - love it! Thanks so much for the DT application. We're so happy you are interested in our team and were able to join in the fun with us this week at Our Creative Corner.
