Before I get to my card, I just want to let you know that I have reduced the price of the boxes I am selling to $60, including shipping.   You can see the contents HERE on Facebook.

Today's card is a clean and simple one for sure!  It's also a special card that Dave and I will be sending to my grandfather (more on that below)

My grandpa will be visiting Washington, DC at the end of April, courtesy of the Honor Flight organization. The Honor Flight is a volunteer organization that honors war veterans by providing them an expense paid day trip to Washington, DC. There they visit the Iwo Jima Memorial, the WWII Memorial, have lunch at the Knights of Columbus and visit Arlington Cemetery.

It is a day the vets get to spend with other veterans of WWII, exchange stories, and be recognized for their contribution to our country. At the end of the day, while on the return flight to Florida, they will again be recognized individually through operation mail call. Operation Mail Call is an opportunity for friends and family to thank him for his service.  He will be handed an envelope containing all of the greetings that were sent on his behalf.
