My first card uses stamps from "Fright Night Phrases."
I die cut a piece of balsa wood, and stamped onto it before adhering it to the top panel. I also die cut the witch to reveal the orangey-yellow paper below. Check it out:
Fun sentiment, huh?
I used stamps from the "Ghostly Greetings" set to make my other 2 cards.
The cauldron is embossed in white, and I was so excited to stamp it onto the black doily! I thought it was cute and a tad spooky at the same time! (btw, it's not a real doily...I die cut it)
I love the good witch/bad witch sentiment too! There is a question mark in the set, although I didn't use it since I already had centered the stamp on the orange cardstock. I didn't want to throw off the balance!
So glad you were able to stop by. Here's the lineup for the hop, so you can visit everyone and see their amazing projects!

What was your favorite Halloween costume?
I get dressed up every year, and my favorite costumes were actually the ones I made myself in college and as an adult. Some highlights: Dana from Ghostbusters, but when she was possessed by Zuul; Leela from Futurama, Slash from Guns N Roses (I have a realllly funny pic of me in that costume), Peg Bundy. I still need to come up with a costume for this year....
Love all three of your Halloween cards! They are cool!
ReplyDeleteGreat cards! Love the first one especially.
ReplyDeleteMy fave costume has to be either my Wonder Woman costume or my Luchador (Mexican wrestler) costume. Umm, they are both costumes I wore in very recent Halloweens. :)
Like every other girl in kindergarten (yes, I'm that old) in 1979 - Princess Leia. That was my favorite because my hair was so long my mom actually made the buns and my gram made her silver necklace out of paper clips and foil. LOL

ReplyDeleteThese are amazing. I especially like the orange card it looks like you hand painted it. Beautiful
ReplyDeleteAll of your cards are absolutely beautiful! I usually put on the same blond wig and tons of make-up every year - very boring:-) I am a new follower by way of Alyssa...

My head is spinning! These are so fang-tastic:) I envy the people that get your cards...These are worthy of hanging on the walls!
ReplyDeleteWOW! These are some super cards--LOVE that witch card! SOOOO clever:) My fav Halloween costume was my Lolly Pop Girl outfit--I had a HUGE sucker that was bigger than me, along with a super cute petal dress....LOVED it:)
ReplyDeleteI had a couple of years in elementary school where I was a "punk rocker" which really just meant a side ponytail, glitter and lots of blue eye shadow :)
ReplyDeleteThen in the last few years, there were 2 Halloweens where I was pregnant, so I had a pumpkin belly costume I made with orange fabric and felt.
Jennifer, I just love what you did with the sentiment stamps. You always do such wonderfully beautiful work, and it is always a pleasure to see what you are creating!
ReplyDeleteThese cards are so fun! It's great to see some Halloween sentiments that are different from the usuals. :)
ReplyDeleteMy favourite Halloween costume was when I was in 4th grade - I was a Rubik's Cube!
Love the cards, super cool and spooky!
ReplyDeleteLove the cards, especially how you used the twine. Simple and clean, and just the right embellishment. Thank you for sharing, and thank you for fixing the posting =)
ReplyDeleteI love all three of your card! Thanks for the inspiration...I am getting excited to get mine done! I too like to dress up for Halloween...A witch or a clown are my favorite costumes to thrill the little ones who come to the door.
ReplyDeleteLove the witch card, a perfect Halloween card!
ReplyDeleteLove all your cards. My favorite costume was as a tube of toothpaste with a "squeeze from the bottom" tag on my rear. LOL I'm a new follower.

Coming over from MTE. All of your cards are wonderful! I love how simple they are, however, I am sure you have to get it just right to make them look so terrific! My favorite halloween costume was being the cookie monster when I was little! I am a new follower!

I just love your simplistic minimalist and yet so sophisticated style. Don't know how you do it, but each makes such a strong impact! You are genius!
ReplyDeleteIncredible cards. Those sentiments rock. I would absolutely love to know where the house image is from, pretty please? It looks so gorgeous with that sweet witch.
ReplyDeleteLove your cards. Where did the row of city houses and building on the good witch bad witch card come from? Is it a stamp? These are just wonderful.
