inspiration from the card aisle

Laurie from Soapbox Creations had a great idea- to use a card from the "card aisle" (supermarket, drug store, etc) as inspiration for a handmade card.

Below is a card I received from a friend recently. I love the flourishes and the simplicity of the card.

And here is the card I made:




I kept most of the card the same- just added some extra layers, some leftover flowers I had from this card (with embroidered french knot centers), and changed the color scheme. Hope you all had a great weekend!
