Craft Dash...solo style

Hi!  Today I am sharing a card for the 10 Minute Craft Dash challenge.  I think as far as videos go, this is the most successful yet- since I was crafting alone there were no other distractions.

I STILL can't manage to make a complicated card like I see other people do in 10 minutes, and I'm sure it's because I'm in front of the camera and feel like I have to "host."

If you want to see some of my really good videos, you should check out these Online Card Classes: Clean and Simple Card Making 2, Pattern Play, and His & Hers (the newest one!).

Alrighty, on to the card!

Can you see the embossing? Maybe it's better in this pic:

...and the video:

The prize this week is super sweet- a gift card to Avery Elle. I have been DESPERATELY wanting to try out their stamps, but I don't often order crafting stuff online. I would love to be lucky enough to win this one! :)  If you want to give the challenge a try, you have until tonight.  Luckily you only need 10 minutes of your time, so go for it!!

  3. Hi Jen!
Just curious, where do you buy most of your supplies? I haven't been able to find good stuff anywhere BUT online, so I'm curious where you go.

I'm always so impressed with what you can pull together in 10 minutes!

  6. Jennifer, I have not done the Craft Dash, but it looks fun and nerve racking. LOL I liked this one better because I could see your work surface. I think it might save you some time if you mounted the camera above your work space. You could still talk about what you're using, but it would already be visible to the viewers. You do great when it gets down to a few seconds. I would be throwing things. You are such a good sport.

  8. I'm in awe. How you put together a card like that (on the fly!) AND host a video (including sharing info about the products you're using!) in ten minutes is beyond me! You totally get my vote -- just for sheer awesomeness! :)

  9. Awesome card Jen!! You're definitely much calmer in this video when it's just you lol, and you still managed to get some comedy moments in too!! Love the finished card - perfect pops of colours, and great dry embossing too!!
