An Idea in Yellow

Above is the inspiration photo for this week's Tuesday Trigger, "An Idea in Yellow."

I was feeling a bit experimental this evening, so I went with a literal translation and tried to copy the design of the doors. This was so tricky! I like (not love) how it came out....but that's what experimentation is for! I would have never known if I didn't try. Here's the finished card:

(I stamped the damask pattern on the inside of the card so it would be revealed through the windows)

  1. Wow, Jennifer, don't know how you made those doors so exacting, but your cards is fantastic!

  2. This is incredible! I love the dimension to the door panels, and that gorgeous damask pattern mimicking the leaves beyond the door. I can sense a trigger target badge coming your way tomorrow :)

  3. Jennifer, I think you hit this one out of the ball park! Way to go! Your card is simply lovely!

  4. Wow, love the doors, Jennifer! Great take on the Trigger!

  5. Fabulous!! Just love those gorgeous doors!!

  7. wow. what amazing detail! it's hard to work so long and hard on a card and not love it. i know the feeling. i just love the damask behind your window. thanks for visiting my blog!

  8. Wow, your card turned out fantastic! The doors are amazing!

  9. Jennifer, it's a perfect card for the challenge! Thanks for stopping by my blog! I am finding more and more crafters in Massachusetts each week - it's so exciting to know there are more people out there who love paper crafting as much as I do. :)
