It feels like forever since the last Runway Inspired Challenge!

I love the watercolory look of the inspiration photo, from Carlos Miele's most recent resort collection:

source: style.com

It only seemed fitting that I bust out my watercolors!

(I'm playing along with a Blog Named Hero too!)

I stamped out the rays with white embossing powder, then used my brush to dab on some color.  I always love when the hardened powder resists ink or paint!  I kept everything nice and watery for a soft look like the fabric in her dress.

The prize for one lucky winner is a gift card to Simon Says Stamp...I hope you choose to play along!

  4. I thought you folded the rays in an accordion fashion! White embossed? You tricked me! I like that they are peaking out, it's a fresh take on the challenge

  6. Absolutely beautiful, Jennifer! Wow.. you're watercolring is PERFECT. Love how you mimicked the rouching on her dress in your design, too! Thanks for playing along in the Freestyle challenge over at A blog Named Hero. :)

  7. Oh my gosh, what a gorgeous take on the photo!!! The spotty look on the sun rays looks like movement in the silky dress. This is seriously cool looking!
