Happy Valentine's Day! Today I am participating in the fabulous Made With Love blog hop! You may have gotten here from the super sweet Elena. We are hopping in a circle, so you can start here and end with Elena if you'd like :) The 2012 Paper Crafts Gallery Idol girls have teamed up to bring you a fun hop with AMAZING prizes. Seriously, I don't think I've ever seen a hop with so many prizes to be won. Here's the list of sponsors:
Avery Elle | BasicGrey | Becky Oehlers stamps | Bossy Joscie | CAS-ual Fridays Stamps | Fresh Squeezed Stamps | Gel-a-tins | Great Impressions Stamps | I {Heart} Papers | Lil' Inkers Designs | Mama Elephant | Neat & Tangled Stamps | Punky Sprouts | Ribbon Carousel | Simon Says Stamp | SRM Stickers | Sweet and Sassy Stamps | Sweet Stamp Shop | The Crafter's Companion | The Craft’s Meow | The Twinery | Timeless Twine | Unity | Uniko Stamps | Viva Las VegaStamps
Awesome, right? Each blog along the way has one or two prizes, and if you comment at every stop, you have a chance to win the grand prize- a $90 gift card to the Ribbon Carousel!! Details on my giveaway can be found at the end of this post.
My card was inspired by this card from Julie. I love the different colored splashes on a clean white background.
I masked a sentiment that said "all you need is love" so that I could do "love is all you need." I didn't have any arrow stamps or dies, so I hand-cut one from black cardstock. I love how it peeks out from behind the heart!
I made a little video to show you how I made that heart. I hope that no one gets offended when I say this, but I think most people find quilling to be old and farty! I'm hoping to bring it back to the world of crafting in a new and trendy way (as you can see on this, this, and this card). Don't be too hard on me if I sound scared or said something stupid- I was a bit nervous to record a video of myself! Major props to those of you who often do instructional videos :)
As a reward for watching my video, you have a chance at not one, but TWO prizes! The first is a $20 Gift Card to i {heart} papers.
The next prize is this set of deeply etched rubber stamps from Viva Las Vegas Stamps:
Please leave a comment answering the following question:
What is your favorite Valentine's Day candy?
And don't tell me that you don't have a favorite, or you don't like candy. If that's the case, just make one up :) I love to eat the Dove chocolate hearts. Nestle Crunch hearts are a close second, followed by the tiny boxes of Nerds. (as cute as they are, I was never fond of conversation hearts. Too chalky)
The next stop is the talented Erin Lee. Have fun!
My Utility Belt (tools I use often!)

One of my first card pins was your quilled "hello" card, and I didn't realize it was yours until I saw it again on someone's "best of" list. Would love to see more!
ReplyDeleteI like the candy hearts but they are not as good as they used to be.

ReplyDeleteLove your heart, card AND videos. Looks like I have seen all 3 of them LOL. I think I got some quilling strips in a crafting package someone gave me for my birthday. As for Valentine Day's sweets, I don't 'celebrate' Valentine's Day (it was an unknown concept in my part of the world when I grew up), but I'm hooked on chocolate covered hazelnuts. Since I have to be careful with sugar, I kid myself it's ok to have 3 hazelnut balls with my coffee every night, LOL.
